2019 Winter Cover for Piscataqua

We’ll be covering the Gundalow for the winter on Tuesday December 10th. At 9:00am, Matt will have a u-haul truck at Great Bay Marine and can use about 5 people to load the cover materials. At 11:00am, we’ll meet in Prescott Park, unload the truck, and begin building the cover. Hoping to have a dozen or more volunteers to help. The forecast now is warm with a 40% chance of rain– if we can, we’ll get the full wood frame built, but if it’s lousy weather we may quit early.

WINTER IS COMING: Volunteer with Us

This winter we’re gear up for several volunteer projects including event planning, an archives project, office projects, maintenance and more.  We are looking for volunteer to join us! Interested in learning more about volunteers at the Gundalow Company? Email Gretchen at education@gundalow.org or visit our volunteer page on our website.

Fall Volunteer Deckhand Training

The gundalow Piscataqua provides a unique platform for educating youth and adults, celebrating our rivers, and raising awareness of our unique maritime heritage. Our outreach is successful thanks to enthusiastic volunteers who teach, interpret, and promote our mission, as well as serving as deckhands to maintain and sail the boat. Why Should I Volunteer for the Gundalow Company? By becoming a Gundalow volunteer, you join over 140 community members who are helping protect the marine environment and maritime heritage of the Piscataqua Region by donating their skills, energy and time.  Our program takes over 2,000 students and over 6,000 members of the […]
