SHORE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
DESIGNED FOR ALL GRADES
If you have a larger group of students (more than 27 students) our Sail & Shore option is for you! Bring up to 54 students in 1 day
Spend the whole day with us setting sail and learning! Do you have more than 27 students? Bring 2 classes in 1 day and participate in our Sail & Shore option. One group of students will board our gundalow and sail while the other group of students with stay on land and participate in our shore programs.
PISCATAQUA PEOPLE: Travel back in time and take part in settling the Piscataqua Region. Become a Native American, a Shipbuilder, or a merchant and make decisions about how you live, where you live, and how you adapt to the changing settlement. This role-playing game introduces students to the region and asks them to settle and barter with other early settlers.
KNOT TYING: Learn some maritime history and how to tie a few basic knots. After this lesson you'll be ready to join the crew!
TIME: Approx. 45 min/program.
NUMBER OF STUDENTS: Maximum of 27 students. Students will be divided into 2 smaller groups for shore programs.
