Where does the Gundalow sail?

The gundalow Piscataqua sails on the waters of the Piscataqua Region including the rivers and Great and Little Bay.  Piscataqua does not sail on the ocean.

Where are campers when they aren’t on the Gundalow?

When not on the Gundalow, campers are based in Prescott Park, at Creek Farm, (about a 5 minute drive from Prescott Park and owned by the Society for the Protection of NH Forests), or at our partner locations.  Two weeks prior to camp, you will receive a schedule for the week detailing where your camper will be dropped off and picked up each day.  Several of our camps for older campers includes additional travel to other areas around the Piscataqua Region.

Will my camper be on the Gundalow everyday?

No, depending on the specific camps, some campers spend 1 day on the Gundalow while other spend up to 3 half days on the Gundalow.

What do I need to Pack for Camp?

All campers should pack a change of clothes, sunscreen, shoes that capture your child’s heel (no flip flops), full water bottle- or 2!, healthy snack and lunch (if your child is a full day camper), a beach towel, and rain gear (weather dependent).  We do recommend close toed shoes that can get muddy, but they are not required.

Will my child wear a lifejacket?

Yes, campers are required to wear lifejackets for all activities on the gundalow and in small boats and while swimming.  Campers can bring their own or we will provide them.

Who are the crew and counselors?

We are lucky to have experienced crew and counselors.  All our staff are certified in first aid and CPR and participate in extensive training both on and off the boat.

Do you offer early drop off and late pick up?

Yes!  We offer after care for our full day camps daily from 3:00-5:00.  The cost for after care is $10/hour and must be booked at least 1 week before the start of camp. We do not offer care before 9:00.

Do you offer refunds if I need to cancel?

Cancellations that are made prior to two weeks before your child’s first day of camp begins will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after that time.
