Join us for our Science Cafe!
The Piscataqua Science Cafe series runs during the Gundalow Company’s off season; December through February. Join us once a month this winter at local breweries as we dive into science topics with local scientists to discuss their work and how the community can get involved.
Our first topic is Oyster Restoration with TNC presented by Kelsey Meyer-Rust, PhD.
“Once abundant in the Great Bay Estuary, oyster populations declined dramatically—but thanks to restoration efforts and local oyster farming, these ecological powerhouses are making a comeback. Learn about their vital role in improving water quality, supporting marine life, and protecting our coastlines. Discover how scientists, farmers, and volunteers are working together to restore this keystone species and why oysters matter for the health of our watershed—and our plates!”
