Special Events & Offers
Free Dockside Gundalow Tours
The gundalow Piscataqua will be open to the public for free dockside tours at the Prescott Park dock on weekends during the sailing season. All ages are welcome on board to learn about the vessel as well as the maritime history and environment of the region. Donations to support our educational programs are welcome.
Other Sailing Locations
Ask us about sails on the Great Bay from Durham, the Cochecho River from Dover, and other special locations.
The Great Bay, often too shallow for traditional sailboats, is perfect for a flat-bottomed gundalow to set sail along the serene shores. The Cochecho offers quiet passage through the river once used extensively for transporting brick by gundalow.
Step aboard the Gundalow and head out on the Piscataqua River for an exciting 2.5 hour sail. While on board, participants will set the sail, steer the vessel, learn to navigate, tow for plankton, and explore the human impact on our watershed. This educational program is geared towards students ages 7 and up.
Our spring season has completed, but please email us if you are interested about more dates being scheduled later in the season.
