Wednesday December 14: Energy Alternatives: a panel discussion

Jen Kennedy, Director & Co-founder: Blue Ocean Society “Marine Debris to Energy” project studying marine debris at sea and on the shore, incorporating waste-to-energy and recycling as part of cleanup efforts; Ken Baldwin, UNH Professor & Director, Center for Ocean Engineering/Center for Ocean Renewable Energy (CORE); Dennis Meadows, former Director, UNH Institute for Policy and Social Science Research at UNH, author of Limits to Growth, the factors that will reduce fossil energy use in the future and the potential role of technology for providing substitutes; and Albert Sciaky, creative strategist and technologist currently leading the SeaChange Group which is developing economically viable alternative fuel for commercial ships.

Funded by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association’s Office of Ocean & Coastal Resource Management under the Coastal Zone Management Act in conjunction with the NH Coastal Program & NH Department of Environmental Services.
