Woodman Museum re-enactors will greet guests as they board at the gundalow PISCATAQUA at the granite bulkhead on River Street that abuts the Cocheco River. Attendees will enjoy delicious hot appetizers, a variety of artisanal cheeses and desserts along with local craft beer and wine. Onboard interpreters will provide historical commentary along the Cocheco & Piscataqua River. Sail will take place rain or shine but should the captain cancel the sail due to excessive weather conditions, attendees will be given a voucher for a Portsmouth sail and the reception and interpretation part of the event will be moved to the Keefe House.
From the south, take Exit 7 from Rt 16 (Spaulding Turnpike) and right onto Central Ave. From the north, take exit 8E to Silver St and a left onto Central Ave. Turn right to head east on Washington St, and left into the dirt parking area across from River St. The gundalow is docked at the rear of this parking area.
